internet help

ok so for the past god knows how long its been I have been having internet trouble with my Wi-Fi rotor died . I also have a Comcast connection where everything is connected down stairs to a Arris cable modem that has every light on instead the link light and Comcast says the link light on are modem has nothing to do with are internet which is funny cause ever since we had WI-FI the link light has been on and also the new rotor is a Linksys e1200 also it says were connected but every time I connect to Wi-Fi it dose not connect at all and also if anyone has a Linksys e1200 will I be able to connect my ps3 to the new network
